You will be committed to developing your professional fundraising skills. You may already have fundraising experience in either a paid or voluntary capacity for a charity or other voluntary organisation. If you are seeking to begin a career in the charity sector, you will need to bring evidence of the transferability of your skills. It is likely that you will bring a good understanding of the importance of customer care and that you will have good project management skills.
Whatever your background, you will be an effective and engaging communicator with the interpersonal skills that are essential for developing good relationships with your centre colleagues and supporters alike. One of your key strengths will be your confidence in interacting with people at all levels, and being a ‘hands-on' person with a ‘can do' attitude. With your organisation, administration, planning and research skills you will be an inspiration to others. The challenge is yours for the taking. Only those with an outstanding commitment to excellence should apply | |
