Brides-to-be looking for that perfect dress need look no more. Over the past few weeks, staff and volunteers at the Sue Ryder Care shop in Shrewsbury have been appealing for donations of wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses, which are now on sale at bargain prices.
And, to ensure brides look sensational on their big day, Sue Ryder Care has joined forces with local dry cleaners, Johnson’s on Claremont Road, to offer a 15% discount to dry clean dresses brought from the Sue Ryder Care shop in Shrewsbury, also on Claremont Road. Shoppers must show receipt of purchase to redeem the offer, which closes on 4 July.
All money raised from the sale of the bridal bargains will go directly to help Sue Ryder Care continue to deliver expert and compassionate care to people living with conditions including cancer, Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis and stroke.
Molly Sample, business support manager at Sue Ryder Care for Shropshire, said, “I am sure shoppers will be delighted by the exceptional quality of wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses we are selling. The people of Shrewsbury have been incredibly generous and have donated a wide array of fabulous and gorgeous dresses, including an original 1940’s silk wedding dress and creations by designers including Laura Ashley, Ronald Joyce and Lila Lace.
“By supporting Sue Ryder Care in this way, local brides-to-be will not only bag a fabulous bargain but help us to make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of people we care for each year.”
