With riders starting at 9am, Sundays Ride for Ryder was much bigger and better than last year. Starting and finishing at Thorpe Hall, the riders took in the lovely sights of Peterborough and the surrounding villages whilst enjoying one of the only days of sunshine left this year.
327 riders took part, riding between them the grand total of 13,888 miles. Wow, thats a lot of sore rear ends and achy legs.
£15,000 is expected to be raised from the ride and everyone from Thorpe Hall would like to say a big thank you to Queensgate for sponsoring the event, Peterborough Cycling Club for arranging the routes and signs, Esporta for helping us promote the event and all the staff, volunteers and riders who helped make this day a great success.
Pictures of the day can be bought from Phil Barnes (who is donating 10% of every pcture bought to Sue Ryder Care) who managed to capture everyone throughout the day at http://www.bfphoto.co.uk
