Sue Ryder Care - Manorlands Christmas Poster Appeal

14 November 2008

Fundraisers at Sue Ryder Care – Manorlands Hospice are asking local offices to take one of their free Christmas Posters in an attempt to save money, paper, time and raise funds for the hospice in the run up to Christmas.

Over 200 local companies, hospital wards and schools have already asked for the Christmas tree shaped poster onto which staff write a small message and make a small donation, rather than sending each other Christmas Cards.  In 2007 the project raised over £7,500 for the Oxenhope hospice which cares for over 650 local people each year.

Manorlands fundraiser Andrew Wood said, “Nearly every office that took a poster last year has asked for one again.  People like the idea of saving time and paper and having something bright and cheerful to pin on the office wall.  We still have some left so if you would like one of our tree posters, just contact the Fundraising Office on (01535) 640430 or email Andrew.Wood@suerydercare.org.”
