Gift Aid in our shops

Gift Aid your donated items and help us help more.

Gift aid your donationWe were the first charity retailer to introduce tax efficient giving on donated items in our shops - and we've won awards for our innovation.

By applying the Gift Aid principle to donated goods, we have been able to increase their value by 28%.

This means that if we sold your dress for £5.00, we could reclaim an additional £1.40, raising a total of £6.40 for Sue Ryder Care.

Gift Aid is a really simple way of raising extra money - money that will help us help more people in need of our expert care.

All you need to do to increase the value of your donations is sign our Gift Aid declaration form when you bring your quality, unwanted items to one of Sue Ryder Care's 370 shops.

"Say 'yes' to gift aid and we can make more from your donation"

Have a sort out, take your donated items to one of our 370 shops and complete a Gift Aid Declaration form.

At the shop a member of staff will process your completed Gift Aid Declaration form and issue you a unique Donor ID number on your Gift Aid Donor ID Card. Simply present the card on subsequent visits to our shops across the country to make more from your donations.

Your donated items will be labelled with the Donor ID number to enable us to capture sales information and we will write to you at intervals to inform you of the money raised from their sale. This is a requirement of Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs.

All Gift Aid items are tagged with green Gift Aid stickers so watch out for them next time you're shopping with us.
